At a distance of 25 km south of the city extends to the main range of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains - Łysogóry. The Cistercian abbey was totally rebuilt in 17 th century but there are still some interiors from the 13 th century. Wąchock is one of the most important European cultural routes - the Cistercian and Romanesque Route.

It is considered to be the most beautiful cave in Poland. It's the complex of corridors and chambers decorated with hundreds of stalagmites, stalactites, and cave pearls of various shapes and forms. There is available the 180-meter underground tourist route, guided cave tours only.

At the top of Łysa Góra there is a Benedictine monastery with the relics of the cross on which Christ died (the ability to kiss relics and adoption blessing) there is also a mission museum in which there are interesting exhibits from around the world such as dress of the bride weighing more than 30 kg - in order to feel the burden of marriage.
In the monastery you can visit the crypts of the legendary Jeremy Wiśniowiecki. In one of the wings of the abbey there is the Museum of the National Park. Walking around Łysa Góra you can look for witches, then go to the observation deck, which is located on the rocky debris, characteristic of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains called Gołoborze
